Lexie, originally from China, moved here to Utah 11 years ago. After getting her Bachelors in International Studies and Linguistics from the University of Utah, she decided to become an ESL teacher just like the ones who helped her learn and advance in her English language learning journey. Lexie started teaching ESL to low-income adult refugees and immigrants when she started graduate school in 2014. After graduating with an MEd. specialized in adult learning from Westminster College, Lexie joined Guadalupe School Adult Education Program in 2016 and has been teaching ESL to underserved adult immigrants and refugees ever since. In her free time, she loves traveling, painting, and journaling. When she can’t travel and embrace different cultures, she exchanges and collects postcards with people around the world.
