Jim Carter is a seasoned financial leader with many years of experience in both non-profit and for profit organizations. He currently is the CFO of Guadalupe Center Educational Programs organization and is a champion of the organization’s mission of “transforming lives through education.” Jim has experienced this in his own life having been the only member of his immediate family to attend and graduate from a University. Being able to participate in the process at Guadalupe has been especially rewarding for him since joining the organization. During a career that spans more than three decades, Jim has established his reputation for sound financial management and fundamental business decision making. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah, graduating with honors. He is a Certified Public Accounting (CPA). Jim has also worked as a private Accounting and Tax consultant for multiple small businesses for many years garnering many relationships in the Salt Lake City community. When not at work, Jim enjoys spending time with his four children and nine grandchildren. He enjoys traveling with his wife and cheering on local sports teams. Another passion is finding local hiking trails located throughout the state.
