Dr. Katrina Herd joined Guadalupe as the Director of the Early Learning Center in August of 2020. She began working in early childhood at age 17 and has since worked in child care facilities, after school programs, elementary schools, and both public and private preschools. Her roles have included teaching assistant, lead teacher, classroom teacher, program assistant director, and program director. Dr. Herd completed her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy through the University of Utah in 2020. Her research interests center on school choice and homeschooling in Utah and she actively pursues ways to build positive relationships between families and schools. Dr. Herd and her husband have 2 incredibly creative daughters and 2 very aloof cats who are always hungry.
