Kate Brainerd

Director, Adult Education

Ms. Brainerd has been employed at Guadalupe Schools since 1992. She is the Director of Adult Education, overseeing English as a Second Language, US Citizenship and Family Literacy services for immigrants and refugees. She is responsible for professional and support staffing; curriculum; assessment; grants administration; and volunteer recruitment and training. Prior to arriving at Guadalupe Schools, she was a teacher for the US Peace Corps. Ms. Brainerd holds a Master of Arts degree in applied Linguistics and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Utah; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Olaf College, Northfield MN.
